"Coat of Many Colors"

I love painting guinea fowl. They have character. This oil is 10" x 6" and is bound for the Southeastern Wildlife Show in Charleston, mid-February. I just finished a companion piece, a 10" x 6" female peahen, titled 'Robe and Crown'. They're the odd couple.

BOTH PIECES ARE SOLD

Three new pieces for Charleston

SOLD

SOLD
I'm currently painting for a show in Charleston, mid February. www.sewe.com. I take about 35 originals to this very classy venue. Many of them will be smaller pieces, such as these pieces. Two are 7" x 7" and Blue Morning is "4 x 7".

Henny Penny

SOLD

Perhaps the title of this painting is a little corny, but what else to title a painting of a chicken?
I had fun painting this 4" x 7" oil (on Ampersand Gessobord). It was a lesson in edges.
As I grew up on a poultry farm in New Zealand, every now and then I must paint a chicken to remind me of my roots.

In New Zealand, a chicken is a baby hen. An adult is called a hen or a chook.
