I like to bring thirty to thirty-five original oils with me...so hoping I'll meet my goal this year. I have been painting 7"x7" landscape studies for the past few years. I've enjoyed painting them and decided to take the plunge and try the same idea in a larger piece. This is a 20" x 20" oil on linen, based on a small study I did last year. The photo is a little too dark - the egret have pure white highlights on them that I don't see here - but you get the idea.

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely; I like the soft peach undertone.
ReplyDeleteStunning!!! I wish I had this in my home. The lovely muted colors and the flock of egrets, just beautiful. Bravo, bravo, BRAVO!
ReplyDeleteWow! I just love these!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work. The Egrets really "pop" with the muted dark background!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The color variations without a lot of value change are really subtle and nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's getting easier to paint these larger landscapes. I've turped out more than I've saved.
