Today's Oil Study - A Crow
I haven't painted a corvid in a while - so today's study is a crow. I really like this piece....something about the broken background at the bottom right.
The broken background on the bottom right makes a visual diagonal with the highlights on his feathers. I love visual diagonals and use them regularly. My students are used to me pointing them out and making them add some to their work.

ReplyDeleteVery striking painting.
