"Suncatcher" is the fourth painting for "Square Off", a painting project I'm doing with my artist son, Shane Rebenschied. Before I took my first painting class at the age of 25, I tried making a large wall hanging of light-through-trees using heavy embroidery thread and fabric. I've painted different images of light-through-trees over the years. For some reason, it still intrigues me.
